Over the years, he has done everything including plumbing work, electrical work, remodeling, project management, and home building. Following Hurricane Katrina, Dave spent 10 years working with Habitat for Humanity and the St. Bernard Project gutting and rebuilding homes in New Orleans. He also worked for 6 years in project management and affordable housing development with Neighborhood Housing Services of New Orleans. Dave now lives, sails, and works in Coastal North Carolina.
